Wisconsin Trend Home 2010

The Wisconsin Builders Association Foundation (with the assistance of members from the Valley Home Builders Association) is building the 2010 Wisconsin Trend Home™. The goal is to build an environmentally friendly home with the technologies and features that should be prevalent in homes in the year 2020. The primary goal is to illustrate to both the construction industry and the public that these technologies can be incorporated into new and existing homes today.

The Start of Flooring

Some of our flooring went in over the weekend and we love it! The rest of the hard flooring (everything except carpet) will be done by tomorrow. They work fast!

The living room, kitchen, and dinette area - white oak hardwood. This will also be used in the game room and first floor hallways. It's called EcoTimber and is a sustainably harvested green product.

The laundry room - ceramic tile. This will also be used in the kids' bath.

The master bath - bamboo, obviously a green product.

The only flooring not shown yet is the slate for the first floor mudroom and half bath and the carpet for the upstairs bedrooms.
